A Tribute to My Role Model, Dr. Jane Goodall

Dr. Jane Goodall has long been an inspiration to me—not only for her remarkable work with chimpanzees, but for the way she approaches all living beings—with respect, patience, and presence. She listens deeply, observes without hurry, and meets each creature as an individual worthy of trust.

That spirit shapes how I care for my Mister Pops and the cats of Huskvarnas Kattvakt. Each cat has its own rhythm, quirks, and ways of showing affection (or independence). My role as a catmom and catsitter is to see them, not just look after them. To listen with my eyes, to understand their moods, and to care in ways that feel safe and familiar to them.

Just as Dr. Jane Goodall earned trust through empathy and consistency, I strive to create a similar sense of confidence among the cats, their humans, and myself. It is a relationship built on understanding, respect, and love.
